Metrolabs Laminar Airflow Cabinets are Galvanised Iron steel hoods equipped with vertical or horizontal pull-up doors, placed between the workspace and the operator. Toxic gases and dust particles are filtered by the built-in fan and HEPA filter — creating a sterile, particle-free environment for sensitive laboratory procedures.
Mini-Pleat HEPA Filter H13 grade — 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 micron particle retention.
30W Philips UV lamp for sterilisation — ensuring a germ-free working environment.
Galvanised Iron 18 SWG with polyurethane powder-coated finish for durability.
IS 304 Grade Stainless Steel surface — hygienic, durable, easy to clean.
Continuous vertical or horizontal airflow flushes the work area of contaminants.
Waterproof anti-corrosive lighting — LED or fluorescent with diffusers per model.
The Metrolabs General Laminar Airflow Cabinet is a Galvanised Iron steel hood designed to provide a clean, particle-free working environment for sensitive laboratory procedures. It is equipped with a vertical or horizontal pull-up door placed between the workspace and the operator — protecting the operator from toxic gases and dust particles, which are filtered by the built-in fan and HEPA filter.
The General LAF Cabinet is designed to be versatile — customisable to vertical or horizontal airflow direction, and available in dimensions tailored to your specific requirements. It is used across microbiology, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life science, and environmental research-based industries to safeguard users, materials, and the environment from toxic and hazardous contaminants.
Sliding Doors: Sliding doors can be stopped at any position — giving the operator full control over workspace access during procedures.
Anti-Corrosive Coating: Epoxy resin powder coating — anti-corrosive and alkali resistant for long service life in demanding lab environments.
Waterproof Lighting: Fluorescent lamp that is waterproof, anti-corrosive, and anti-oxidative — safe in humid or chemically active environments.
Fan Speed Control: Fan control and wind speed adjustment — allowing operators to optimise airflow for each specific procedure being performed.
Gas & Water Cock: Can be equipped with extra gas cock or water cock as required for specific laboratory procedures.
Custom Dimensions: Dimensions can be customised as per the customer’s request — designed for your specific bench, room, and workflow requirements.
Vertical or Horizontal: Can be customised to a vertical or horizontal airflow type based on your application and space requirements.
A Vertical Laminar Airflow system allows operation in sterile and particle-free conditions because the continuous flushing of the working area by a unidirectional Vertical ultra-filtered airflow assures complete product protection. Ideal for procedures requiring top-down sterile air cascading over the work surface.

Galvanised Iron sheet with complete polyurethane powder coated finishes.
DIDW type blower system consisting of a dynamically & statically balanced aluminium centrifugal impeller driven by a single phase, 1440-RPM motor, enclosed in a PU-coated GI casing suitably suspended in a pair of springs & connected to the filter chamber through a flexible canvas duct.
A Horizontal Laminar Airflow system allows operation in sterile and particle-free conditions because of the continuous flushing of the working area by a unidirectional Horizontal ultra-filtered airflow — it assures full product protection. The horizontal configuration is ideal for procedures requiring a continuous sweep of clean air across the work surface towards the operator.
